Of all my beauty drawers, my lips drawer is always the most full. I thought it was about time I did a little spring cleaning, as I had to so many that the ones I loved weren't getting any love because they were lost amongst the rest!
There was a mix of reasons why some lip products had to go. They were either old and unusable, something I just won't use because I'm not a huge fan of it, I've grown out of it, it doesn't suit me as much as I'd like it to or because I just think one of my family or friends would appreciate it more than me.
Amongst the 'to keep' were my beloved Clinique Chubby Sticks Intense, YSL Glossy Stain, most of my Revlon Lip Butters, all my MACs (you never know when you might need some brights!) and a few other random ones. Amongst the 'to go' pile were a few Rimmel Kate Moss shades that don't suit me, my Clinique Chubby Sticks that don't show up on me but my mum LOVES, quite a few too nudes that make me look ill and a lot of old, gross lip balms.
The drawer is part of my Ikea 'Helmer' and the insert is from Ikea too, just in case you were wondering!
I think we all need a good clear out now and again, although I'm well aware this is not your standard lip product collection - I should be ashamed.
Anyone else a lipstick hoarder? Come on, own up!

Forget a lipstick hoarder, I'm just a makeup hoarder in general!! But I think lip things are one of the worst because I end up buying them just because they look so pretty, regardless of whether I'll actually wear it or not, that has happened so many times!! haha! Bloggers are allowed though, that's what I keep telling myself ;)

Love your collection - I use these exact drawers and inserts to organise all my make-up also! Although it doesn't look anywhere near as good as yours!

This is probably what will happen to me in a couple of years. I can see it! Good for you for being able to give away the ones you didn't like. Most people just keep everything! I have a feeling, though, that on your "to go" pile is the Rimmel 107 by Kate Moss, and it just breaks my heart cause I've been lusting over that shade for a long time!

Your "To Keep" pile is like my ideal amount of lipsticks. Enough that there's still the thrill of the choice in the morning, but not so much that it's overwhelming. My lip drawer itself is quite small, so it's currently full to bursting and won't close anymore, but no clear out for me. I think I'll just get a bigger drawer! xx

I'm a lip product hoarder too! Though I still don't have as much as you. I try to temper my buying, keeping my collection small and usable so that I'm able to remember, "Oh, I already have a red that I love- I should use that up!" Besides, I don't make beauty videos and my blog isn't dedicated to makeup, so you're okay!

After I had a sort out of my makeup and got rid of some of the older things I was able to use so much more of what I had because I could see it all much easier. I love the Helmer drawers, I don't have enough makeup to need some - not yet anyway!
