I've never been good at falling asleep, in fact I'm probably the most productive when I get into bed (not in that way!). I admire those who keep all phones, iPads and computers away from the bedroom, but that hour before bed is my favourite time to catch up on YouTube videos and blogs. I use my YouTube and Bloglovin' apps to catch up on everything on my iPad which I much prefer rather than having my big laptop in bed.
I'm also currently reading Emily from Cupcakes & Cashmere's book. I've read her amazing blog for years and everything about this book is beautiful, from the home decor tips to personal styling tips. I also find it so relaxing to read through at night and the imagery is gorgeous. My glasses do live on my bedside table, but whether or not they actually get worn is questionable.
I usually have some kind of candle burning and at the moment it's the very last bit of my Diptyque Baies which is one of my favourites. The last few beauty steps of my day consist of a bit of Pommade Divine for lip balm and a spritz of Caudalie's Beauty Elixir. I've also recently enjoyed rubbing some of the This Works Sleep Balm on my wrists and behind my ears for a bit of extra help drifting off. I wouldn't say this is a miracle worker, but the routine of applying it along with the calming scent is very relaxing.
Lastly, I switch on my Sleep Talk app on my iPhone. I am an occasional sleep talker and this app records any noises you may make. It's the most hilarious thing and I have some VERY funny sleep talking moments saved in my favourites folder.
So that's my bedside table. What do you keep on yours?
Lily xx

I love everything on here! Very posh looking matches. I really want to read Emily's book. I too enjoy the time before I go to bed- checking up on blogs, watching youtube videos, watching an episode from a box set or maybe even writing a blog post... I need to get into a routine though of doing those things early so that I go to bed at a decent time! Gorgeous post as always Lily.

I should get the sleep talk app as I definitely tend to say some random stuff during the night according to the other half so it'd be funny to listen to! I use the thisworks pillow spray and thats really good if you were needing some extra help :)! xx

I have been debating over whether to buy 'Cupcakes and Cashmere' for a little while as I always buy those hardback, coffee table type books and never read them, sounds like it's a nice book for a pre-bed read though! I should keep my Beauty Elixir on my bedside table, I always forget to use it! xo

Thank you for another great blogpost. Seriously you are at the top of my favorite bloggers list! I love the fact that you post everyday. I wish I lived in London (or even in England) so I could have the chance to meet you. You are such an inspiration! Anyways, I was wondering if you could tell me *instagram* what style your Tom Ford glasses are because I am in need of a new pair and yours look so pretty! It would really help me out!

The app terrifies me! My boyfriend downloaded it to try and capture some of my bizarre conversations but no luck yet... which I'm kind of glad about as I find it all a bit weird! Really want to read Emily's book too... x
ReplyDeleteWow Lily, with all those things on the table you still keep it so clean! I will have to get the Caudalie elixir for my wife as part of her skin care routine, that looks quite nice. My bedside table is covered with papers and a candle (I know, bad placement). But I also keep my anti-aging skin care routine serum and moisturizers very close by. Cheers!
