Yep, you read correctly, I am actually claiming this to be the best mascara I have ever tried... what a statement hey! I love my Origins mascara, I love my Make Up For Ever mascara, I even quite like the Soap & Glory mascara, but oh-my-god... this one is incredible.
I really had no expectations or high hopes when I was about to try the Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume mascara 'meh, just another mascara'. But after just one swipe on my lashes I was blown away. The brush is one of those plastic ones with little bristles, that I normally don't like at all. I tried the L'Oreal Telescopic and wasn't a fan as the wand didn't grip to my lashes and just did nothing. There's something about the Clinique brush that makes it apply the perfect amount of product and it clings to the lashes so well that you can practically stroke your lashes with the wand. Application is so precise and after just one coat my lashes were long and thick.
Now I have (thankfully) quite long and thick lashes anyway, so I made sure to test this on my mum too. She has (sorry mum) tiny little straight lashes and when she used this she also said 'WOW'... and it's pretty hard to impress my mum!
The best thing about Clinique mascaras is that you can try them on at the counters because they have tester wands that are actually the same as the wand in the mascara you want to try. So I'd recommend trying this yourself, but I'm pretty sure most of you will love it. I certainly do!
Ahh... I love a good product rave.
Have you tried this mascara yet?
Lily xx
I'm off to Thailand today, but there will still be posts daily on here and videos going up on my YouTube channel. See you in two weeks (hopefully a little bronzed up!)

ooooh it looks gorgeous. ive tried a clinique mascara before and it took me a couple of goes to actually like it, because of the same sort of plastic aplicator. i actually ended up really liking it. So i'm guessing this would be similar. it has certainly done an impressive job on your eye;lashes lilly, and coming from you, it really must be a great one. Thanks for the reccomendation. I've just ran out of my mac mascara (totally over-rated) so I'll be trying this one next xx
ReplyDeleteI think I own every Clinique mascara they have, haha love them! But it's because they are really good and they don't cause me allergies (itchy eyes)! x

It looks amazing! I've heard it's 'tubing' too, so it lasts ages and can only be removed by rubbing your lashes gently?

This post is really helpful Lily. The best mascaras I have tried are YSL faux lash effect and Lancome Hypnose star. The latest one I have tried is Loreal Volume million lashes but I don’t like it as much as the others. I have been looking for a good mascara without the premium price tag so I may have to give this mascara a go as £17 is reasonable although I would like to find one I love for under £10. Can anyone recommend any other good mascaras? Holly xx

This looks really great! The photos really show the difference. Love it x
ReplyDeleteI tried it when it first came out as I'm a bit of a mascara junkie but I did NOT like it. I tend to go for these rubber bristle brushes but the bristles didn't seem to pick up much product and when I tried to use the mascara "wells" (the flat sides) properly it just kind of glued my lashes together. I've really been enjoying the newest MAC mascara - I think the Extreme Dimension Lash? - which uses a similarly designed brush.
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing for length. It doesnt do much for the thinkness. but it does look a really good mascara tho. Really lengthens your lashes. Gives the a bold statement!

Oh! I will definitely try this mascara! Right now i use Max Factor "Falsh Lash effect" for a more dramatic look and "The Colossal Volume Express" by Maybeline for cat-eyes and a more easy-going look. I've recently got a new one from Max Factor called "Clump Defy". So i have quite a few mascaras and want to use 'em up before they expire. THEN i'm going to try the one from Clinique! Hah!
ReplyDeletewow this mascara looks incredible!! Im definitely gonna try it out.

Wow Lily. I have these teeny tiny straight lashes bordering on being invisible (quite common with Asians) but by the sound of things I think this mascara might just come to my rescue. Will pick up a tube as soon as I gather enough funds. Haha :) thanks for sharing too. The results on your lashes is incredible. Here's hoping it'll be the same for me.
