M&S Coral Blusher

M&S Autograph Pure Colour Powder Blush in 'Coral' - £6

I picked up this blush when I was in the new M&S beauty hall. I spotted it straight away because the colour is just so gorgeous! It's the perfect coral and as it was only £7 I just couldn't resist buying it.

I am so happy with it, it applies really well and lasts all day on. It's really pigmented so you only need a tiny bit on the brush. I love the packaging too, it's smart and also comes with a little mirror, which is always handy! It's the perfect Summer blush and it has easily become one of my favourites in my collection.

Do you like the look of this blusher? Have you tried any of M&S' Autograph range?

GHD Black Gloss IV Styler

Thursday, 28 June 2012

I've always been a GHD fan. I bought my first pair when I was around 18... before then straight hair was not an option. I've always owned the maxi stylers because my hair is so thick it just makes the whole process much quicker. The only problem with the maxi straighteners is that they're not great for getting to the root or right underneath the hair. I've also found recently that my hair catches on them and can sometimes cause hair breakage.

These Black Gloss IV Stylers are so smart and sleek. They are the perfect size and make it really easy to get to the roots and the parts of the hair that are harder to reach. They heat up in only 15 seconds (I counted!) which is so super quick and they get really hot, but not too hot that they'll really damage your hair. The one difference I found with these compared to the maxi stylers is that they're rounded which means they don't sit on a table without falling to the side. This is quite annoying when you have a fear of burning down your house, BUT the new sleep mode makes up for it.

I'd always recommend GHD as the best hair straighteners as they're such great quality and last really well throughout the years (mine are still going!).

They are available from the GHD website with free delivery.

Are you a GHD kinda girl? If so, which ones do you have?

Clarins Face and Lips

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm - £28, Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector '02' - £16

As you know I recently went to Berlin and how could I resist a little airport browsing whilst I was waiting for my flight. I decided to pick up two things from Clarins that I'd wanted to try for a while and they were a few pounds cheaper than they usually are.

I've heard so much about the Beauty Flash Balm and I think I was expecting it to be an illuminating moisturiser/primer that would make me look glowing and make my skin feel amazing. My best friend swears by this product but if I'm honest I was SO disappointed. First of all it absolutely stinks! I think it smells so bad that it actually made me feel sick when I could smell it on my face. It kind of reminds me of nappy cream - big no no. I also felt that it just didn't do anything. I've tried it a few times and just can't see any benefits. Sorry, what a depressing review... but I just feel really let down by this 'best seller'.

On a much more positive note I also bought the Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector which is amazing! It's in a handy little tube with a squiggly foam applicator and it's been happily living in my handbag since I got it. I'd describe it as a mix between a lip gloss and a lip balm. It's not stick at all and smells delicious. This is good for those of you who would like to wear lip gloss but are not massive fans of the super glossy look. Big thumbs up and I'll definitely be buying some of the other shades.

Have you tried either of these? What are your thoughts?

Did Some Shopping #1

Tuesday, 26 June 2012

I don't like the word haul... So I decided to call my 'haul' videos 'Did Some Shopping!'. It's just a bit more me.

Anyway, it's been a whole month since my last shopping video so although it's not a mega exciting one, I hope you like it!

M&S Beauty Hall - Westfield, Stratford

Last week I went along to the first night opening of the new M&S beauty hall in Westfield, Stratford. It's one of many that are opening in London and by Summer 2013 there will be over 100 in the UK. They will also be opening the beauty halls internationally, starting in Autumn with Prague and Poland.

My expectations were high and I wasn't disappointed. The beauty hall is laid out beautifully and is so nice to walk around. It doesn't feel at all like you're in M&S and their own branded products look really impressive and blend in with the other higher end brands. The range of products that have been selected are all great such as Nuxe, Roger & Gallet, Apivita, Philip Kingsley... just to name a few!

M&S have also launched their new own-brand range called Pure which offers natural and eco-friendly skincare and bodycare.

I was slightly disappointed when I went to pay for my items and was given a green plastic M&S bag... I think it would have been a really nice touch to have special, slightly nicer bags for the beauty hall. But overall I was really impressed and I'm excited for these to be rolled out to all the big stores.

Have you visited an M&S beauty hall yet?

Most things you've probably seen before apart from my new necklace, scarf and bracelet.

It's quite a basic outfit but comfortable and easy. What do you think?

Two New Members

Raffles Bizarre Beaded Peace Sign Necklace*
Dana Levy  Neon Enamel Evil Eye Token Friendship Bracelet*

Today I thought I'd share with you two new members of my jewellery box.

Raffles Bizarre is one of my sponsors and the lovely Jess offered to send me something from her Etsy store. I really love this peace necklace and I know I'll be wearing it a lot. It's on a simple medium length silver chain and the peace sign itself is made out of small black beads. It's really cute and will go with so many outfits! Check out her etsy store here, she sells some really lovely stuff!

I also really want to tell you about the amazing Dana Levy jewellery. Dana is a London based designer and she creates beautiful jewellery which is inspired by the Middle East. This friendship bracelet is one of my favourite pieces from her collection. The whole friendship bracelet craze is back once again, but if you don't want to look like a 15 year old, this is a great 'grown up' option. It's a proper bracelet with gold clasp detailing. I'm obsessed with this bracelet and it will not be leaving my wrist for a long time. Let's see if it can beat the record my Tiffany bracelet currently holds of 12 years (is that gross?). If you're looking for the perfect gift, check out her website here

What do you think of these? Which one if your favourite?

Revlon Lip Butter Sweet Boutique

Monday, 18 June 2012

I'm sure you remember my trip to America at Christmas as the haul posts went on for weeks. I spent far too much money but got so many amazing products. At the top of my list were the Revlon Lip Butters after watching so many American YouTubers rave about them. Here’s my post on the lip butters I bought and my thoughts on them.
They’ve been available in the UK for a while now, but I just thought I’d give you a heads up on the cool competition Revlon are hosting on their Facebook page at the moment.
On 7th June they opened up the Sweet Boutique on their Facebook page. It’s a gorgeous and very well designed app that resembles an old fashioned sweet shop. The ‘shop’ is open Monday to Friday, 8am till 11am and everyday they will be giving away 100 different lip butters. What’s even more exciting is on 2nd July they will launch a 3-day prize draw for someone to win the entire 14 shade collection!
So visit their Facebook page here to see which shade they’re giving away today and enter for your chance to win. Good luck!

Are you a fan of the lip butters?
