This is a bit of a geeky post but I was so excited to go to the ASOS head office and see behind the scenes I just had to share it with you guys.
ASOS started as a small brand but it now employs over a thousand people so the offices have grown over time. We were invited along to view the beauty Christmas collections and watch the new videos ASOS created with Azealia Bank, Charlotte Free and Ellie Goulding.
We walked around the office, learnt about the whole production process from start to finish but one of the highlights for me had to be the ASOS catwalk (loser!). You know those videos you see on the website on the girl walking up and down the catwalk? Well that was us. Amazing!
I also massively geeked out in the studio where we saw how they take the photos of their beauty products. A little insider info for you - they use a range of different Canon cameras such as the 5d and 60d and occasionally use a Nikon too. The lens they use is a 50mm to get close up shots. We saw how they edit the photos and adjust the lighting too which was so interesting.
They take 60 fashion shots a day, 200 catwalk videos, with 2 models in a day and 7 studios. The models take an hour in hair and makeup when they first arrive in the morning.
I had a great time and loved seeing behind the scenes.
