Jo Malone London Blackberry & Bay - 100ml £76* | 30ml £38 | Body/Hand Wash £30
This post is very delayed, but it has taken me ages to write. This fragrance is impossible to describe because it's quite unique but I'm going to give it a go!
So let me start by introducing you to Jo Malone London's new cologne, Blackberry & Bay. I don't normally talk about press launches as it's the product that's of interest not the event, but in this case I just have to because it was so incredible. It was held in a tent in a London park in the middle of the day. It was so English and there were Hunter wellies everywhere! Inside the tent were long picnic tables and hundreds of Blackberry & Bay candles burning. This was seriously the best smelling tent in the world. We sat and enjoyed picnic baskets full of incredible food and homemade elderflower drinks and sniffed away at all the B&B products.
You see the two cuties in the first image? That's 'Blackberry & Bay' and they are real siblings. I love the campaign images and I think it represents the fragrance perfectly.
"Childhood memories of blackberry picking... stained lips, sticky palms. A burst of deep, tart blackberry juice and sparkling grapefruit, blending with the freshness of just-gathered bay. Softened with delicate flowers. Resting on a brambly base of vetiver and cedarwood. Vibrant and verdent."
The smell really does make you think of your childhood and it's comforting. It's sweet but not in a sickly way, in a yummy, fresh kind of way. For some reason it also makes me smell like I've just stepped out the shower as it has a really clean smell to it.
It's very different to any other fragrance I've tried and it's worth going to take a sniff at a Jo Malone London counter. It's out now and comes in two sizes as well as a hand & body cream.
Have you tried this new scent yet?
Lily xx

Looks like a great event - absolutely love the photos!
ReplyDeleteMy mom picked this up for me the other day and I'm eagerly awaiting its delivery! I love Jo Malone colognes, they're the only perfumes that really last the whole day on me and I love that about them. I have so many, haha :)

I am definitely going to try this one out as I also associate blackberry scent with my childhood. I am actually going to Jo Malone in Selfridges next week for 'an afternoon tea' with a complimentary hand and arm massage - I always love to attend these!
ReplyDeleteI love how everything is presented, especially the box with berries and perfume. Lovely!x
