This is part 1 of a 2 part video and in this one I'm talking about products that dissapointed me. It's not about 'bad' products, it's just that they didn't live up to my own personal expectations. As I'm sure you can guess, the next one will be 'Thumbs Up Products'!
Click the video to watch it on YouTube and see all the details in the info bar.

That Chanel polish is identical to the Barry M one, i think it's called mushroom. I was dissapointed with Mac Fix plus too, glorified water! x
ReplyDeleteAgree with you on the porefessional from Benefit. Didn't do anything for me at all.
ReplyDeleteI didn't like the Beauty Flash Balm under my make-up but when I was on holiday and had sunburn it was SO cooling and soothing! I use it as an aftersun now x
ReplyDeleteI have loads of chanel nail varnishes and they ALL chip so quickly, im a sucker for the packaging-or was havent bought them in ages! Also the sleek palette I agree with the muddyness of the colour. good post!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, i love that mascaraa :( my fav fav fav go to mascara!

its funny what works for some people and doesn't for others- I HATE COllection 2000s Lasting Perfection Concealer (a cult fave) but LOVE MAC Fix + and Benefits The POREfessional. Seriously couldn't live without those two products!
ReplyDeleteit's strange how products vary with different people and skin types, I can definitely see the difference in my skin without the porefessional and it's one of the best primers I've used!
ReplyDeleteNice video. Interesting to compare with my own thoughts about the same products!
ReplyDeleteLike that you made such a video, cause usually evertyone just writes that they LOVE every single product!

Your opinions are really helpful! OPI's Nail Envy gets a thumbs down from me too, plus it has formaldehyde... not good!

I hear so many bad things about Chanel nail varnishes even from people who like them.
ReplyDeleteWas thinking about trying the MAC fix plus but I'll steer clear after watching this & reading the comments

Iso agree on the Clarins balm, I hate the smell too and it doesn't do much. I don't like the smell of the 8 hour cream either ut at least it's a decent lip primer if I put it on 20min in advance then blot it before applying - so I put up with the fragrance.
ReplyDeleteI love The Porefessional. I think it definitely minimizes the size of my pores. I didn't really buy it as a primer, although I do use it that way. I also use it sometimes over foundation as a bit of a touch up. And I love the texture, haha. But our skin types are probably much different :)
ReplyDeleteI really don't like the smell of the 8 hour cream either but I use it as a lip balm because I get awfully dry, chapped lips.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you on the Chanel nail polish i was so disapointed with it especially for what it costs :(
ReplyDeletePorefessional i think is good for minimising pores but not great as a primer and applying over make up would be a definate no no.
Looking forward to the next video!

The porefessional is my go to primer, I just hate that its so expensive. Like you said everyone has different skin and favourites.

Porefessional, Telescopic mascara (waterproof), beauty flash balm, eight hour cream, mac fix+... ohhh so many common thumb downs!
ReplyDeleteJust come across your blog, full of great posts!
ReplyDeleteThis was an interesting one, and funnily enough I recently gave into the hype over Clarins Beauty Flash. I was told by the sales assistant that to get the full benefit from it you must as soon as you put it on (pea size amount) apply with strokes (don't rub) and apply your foundation when it's still sort of dewy over the top. It does give me a nice glow and have to say I oddly quite like the smell, it reminds me of my mum (ha, not been around babies so maybe that will change when I have!).
Also agree with Chanel nail polishes, I stopped using them a while ago, along with vaseline!
Definitely agree with 8 hour cream smell. I just can't use it anymore because of it!
