The Yifang Wan show was at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout at Freemasons Hall, a venue I've walked past hundreds of times but never been into. The building is gorgeous and historic, but enough of that... onto the hair!
Bill Watson lead the Toni&Guy session team on this one and the hair was a perfect match for the clothes; clean, simple and expensive. The hair was parted in the middle, again straight and sleek like we've seen on so many shows this season. The two front parts were then pulled back behind the ears and tied together at the back of the neck. Two dropped out panels of hair were left in front of the ears and although this seems strange, it really worked! Bill mentioned that it was important not to over spray the hair and make it rigid, as it needed to look organically straight.
Such a simple idea but perfectly structured and beautiful. The makeup for this was done by The Body Shop and was a look that can easily be worn as an everyday look. The skin was fresh and glowing and the eyeshadow was soft, brown and blended out.
I was lucky enough to sit front row at this show and enjoyed seeing the hair and makeup compliment the incredible collection.
Would you brave this hairstyle?

I love their outfits, and that building looks absolutely gorgeous! They don't have that kind of architecture where I live :(

I love Freemasons hall, so gorgeous inside, especially the room they use for the shows.
ReplyDeleteLoving seeing backstage photos especially of the hair and makeup. Makes me nostalgic for the time I worked on a couple of shows. *sigh*

cor check you miss FROW! i really like the hair for this one.. x
ReplyDeleteI'm currently so into these geometric lines for hair, even if I have to say they look good only if your face is very model-esque, so nice contours are probably required but it's still a gorgeous trend!
