The first show I went backstage at this season was Corrie Nielsen. Toni & Guy were doing the hair and the talented team was led by Indira Schauwecker.
The hair look was inspired by botanical flowers and nature and there were two looks which were being created for the catwalk. The first look symbolises the irregularity of flowers in the wind. The hair was slicked down and very straight at the top of the head, smoothed down at the neck and then brought out from the neck down. The bottom of the hair was full of volume, crimped and backcombed. It was very floral, pretty but quite smart too.
The second look was inspired by unopened flowers with again sleek, straight hair at the top but then messy and rolled up at the bottom all the way around the back of the head. The mix of hard and soft, and sleek and untamed was really gorgeous.
Both looks had a sensible side parting slicked down with the Label.M volume mousse. They then used a hair net and sprayed the hairspray through it for a strong hold. The ends of the hair were heavily backcombed, diffused and packed full of Label.M's Resurrection Style Dust.
The makeup was done by the AOFM and was simple whilst also making a statement. The top half of the face from just under the eyes up was a pure block of rose gold. Nothing else, just a shimmer of pink which looked beautiful on the models.
Do you think you can translate this hair into real life?

The hair looks amazing for the catwalk but there's no way I'd be able to wear this IRL! I'm enjoying all your fashion week posts :) xx

yeah.... I'm thinking its more of an editorial/runway look tbh
ReplyDeletePoor model's hair... Guess it's part of the job though! Not sure this is applicable to real life, but do like the floral influences included. x

I don't like this at all. The makeup makes it look like they have a skin condition.
