Blue Nail Polish

Thursday, 16 August 2012

I think it's fair to say that my favourite colour nail polish is blue. I'm not sure why exactly, it's not at all natural and can look quite young, but I just always gravitate towards blue and turquoise.

Here's a collection of some of my favourites, with the majority being from Essie as you know I'm a big fan. Pool Party from Topshop is a gorgeous blue with a hint of green and always gets me compliments and Gone Fishing it a more spearmint green version. Lapiz of Luxury by Essie is a brighter blue and I really love it and Cocktail Bling is a blue toned grey for when I want to be more subtle with my nails. Mint Candy Apple is probably one of Essie's top selling polishes and is definitely a blogger favourite, it's the perfect mint green!

Do you own any of these polishes? Are you a blue nail fan?

  10. for some reason i hate blue nails on me it makes me feel about 13 (mainly because i think the first nail polish i bought was a ridiculous tacky bright blue from claires) however these more muted shades are absolutely gorgeous! i seriously love topshop nail colours, i think all the shades really unique and long lasting!

  11. Really pretty colours! I prefer to go on the minty side of 'blue' rather than full on blue. For whatever reason, I always love a true blue nail polish in the bottle, but I dont love it so much on my hands! China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint and For Audrey are two of my favourites!

For winter I love Cobalt Blue by Barry M and the InStyle Nails Inc Bluebell, which looks a little similar to Lapiz of Luxury and Essie Bikini So Teeny, just less pearly.

  43. You should try Mint Choc Chip from 17! It's a little less classy than Essie, but for £2.99 you can't go wrong at it's a gorgeous colour that's somewhere between Mint Candy Apple and Pool Party ;-)
