Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment & NUXE Rêve de Miel Lip Balm
Something very tragic happened this week, but something really amazing also happened. You wouldn't think I was talking about lip balms here would you?
My beloved Fresh lip balm finished; the very last bit fell off and I was so upset. I bought it in New York at Christmas and wrote about it in this post and for some reason haven't really spoken about it since. I don't know why, because I absolutely love it. I love the packaging and it has lived in my handbag ever since I bought it. I will definitely be repurchasing it and it also gives me an excuse to go to the Fresh store on Marlebone High Street.
I finally caved and bought the NUXE Rêve de Miel lip balm. Anna's post made me want it and Estée's post made me need it. I first discovered NUXE in the September GLOSSYBOX but haven't really explored the brand. The lip balm has a really nice, subtle lemon scent and has quite a strange texture. It's matte and very thick which is a nice change as 'glossy' lip balms tend to slip off my lips quite quickly. I do find it quite hard to apply but once it's on it stays put and really does wonders for my lips. It's £9.50 which is a bit crazy for a lip balm, but I'm happy to spend that as you get a 15ml pot and it's a great product!
Have you used either of these? Are you a lip balm addict?

ReplyDeleteI've not tried either, but I clearly need to! Love how the Nuxe is matte so it doesn't make your lipsticks go on too gloopy. xx
ReplyDeleteI have loved the Nuxe lipbalm for years! It's all I was using as a young teen. The stick form is amazing too!

I'm using Nuxe reve de miel at the moment but in stick form as I don't like pots of lip balm. I've also loved Chanel's coco baume and am considering repurchasing it despite the price. I'd love to try the Fresh one too.
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to try that lip balm, roll on pay day :)
ReplyDeleteI read the same post and was totally sold! Roll on pay day, I'm just getting to the end of my Blistex Relief Cream but hate hate hate the packaging! The tube always splits at the sides! But I just love the lip balm, makes my lips instantly soft and smooth ready for lipstick. xx
ReplyDeletei am such a lipbalm addict, but i haven't heard or tried these two brands that you use. My holy grail lipbalms includes nivea soothe and protect, Elizabeth Arden lipbalm, Carmex and body shop lipbutters :) They all work wonders and i am constantly putting them on to hydrate my lips hehe. I feel so lost without them in my handbag!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing~x
