I hoped to buy a lot of clothes in America but I was quite disappointed. I always forget when I go, that I actually prefer UK fashion and that the clothing in America is quite plain and basic. I did, however, pick up a few cardigans and jumpers that will come in handy.
I love the print on the first cardigan which is from Forever 21. I'm really not 'into' horses but thought this looked really sweet - it's also a really nice, thick cardigan. The red/orange cable knit cardigan is also from Forever 21. I don't really have many cardigans so I was happy to find a couple that I really like. I also got this shirt in the 30% sale at Superdry. I felt a bit stupid when I asked the lady at the counter (in a very English accent) where Superdry is from and she replied 'the UK' - but oh well, it was still 30% off! It's slightly thicker than your average shirt, which I really like. The blue jumper at the end is again from Forever 21; really basic but so comfortable. This actually looks really nice over the shirt (I need to stop dressing like a man).
I am taking my computer in to be fixed on Saturday morning - fingers crossed I'll have it back by Sunday morning, but in case I go AWOL..you know why!

I actually love all of these! Think you had a very successful clothes-buying holiday :) The first jumper in particular is amazing and looks super cosy and wintery. Isn't Superdry from Japan? Or is that just a sales pitch?

the horse cardi is magnificent. x
ReplyDeleteThat first cardi is amazing!! I agree with American fashion being a lot less daring than our own, even moreso is Canadian fashion. (apart from certain places like Montreal) I always save up money for huge shopping sprees when I visit, forgetting they don't really have great taste in clothes, everything's a little stuck in the 90s. Great for cheap basics though!

ReplyDeleteThe horse cardi is fab! Not something I'd pick in a shop but I actually really like it on you - might have to think twice about animal prints in the future! xx
ReplyDeleteSo jealous you've just been in New York! Love your purchases, especially the first cardigan! I wouldn't really say I'm a horse person either but it is a lovely cardigan and it's a bit different

ReplyDeleteI'm going to New York next month for a week and was planning on buying a whole new wardrobe whilst I'm out there! Even though the fashion is different, I like finding pieces that noone has in the UK :) I really like the Forever21 blue jumper, simple knits like that are how I get through winter! http://sophieswallows.blogspot.com/ ox
