T4: New Look Style the Nation - Jennifer Onah

Tuesday, 31 May 2011

Hello!
So sorry I haven't posted for a week. I didn't actually mean to, don't know where the week has gone. I went to a beautiful wedding on the weekend and as you probably know by now I have my sister's wedding this coming Saturday - so we are all very busy!

But bigger news... sorry sis... one of my best friends who I have known since I was 4 is going to be on T4! I know, I know...another talented friend... I just have so many of them :-)

So, she is going to be on T4 this SATURDAY morning at 11:25. She will be on New Look's Style the Nation. She is a massively talented fashion designer and will be going up against some other contestants to become a stylist for New Look.

I am so so proud of one of my oldest friends... if any of you are able to vote for her please please do. She really deserves it; she is one of the most ambitious, hard working girls I know!

Here are some photos from her own fashion collection.

VOTE JENNIFER ONAH!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys!

Beach on the Thames

Tuesday, 24 May 2011

A while ago, on a Sunday, my boyfriend and I decided to go to the Southbank. It's something I love to do when I have the time. I love the atmosphere, the views and there is always something going on there. This time there was a beach and a long row of differently themed beach huts... lovely! There was also a display of paper airplanes which I loved!

Remember the shoes I showed you HERE that I planned to wear to the 2 weddings I have coming up. Well I tried them on recently and decided, I just can't walk in them and look too tall. So I ran around all the shops in Covent Garden today during my lunch break to try and find a different pair of shoes. I found a pair at Dune, so tonight I am planning on trying them on with my dresses and fingers crossed they look good! Argh, bloody weddings!

Thanks for reading!

NAKED

Sunday, 22 May 2011

FINALLY I got the Urban Decay NAKED palette. I missed it the first time round as they sold out so quickly and was very jealous of everyone who managed to get one. I was lucky enough to come across the last one in Sephora in France when I was on holiday.
It is the most useful eye shadow palette I have ever seen! The mix of nude colours are perfect and work so well together, and it is nice to have a mixture of shimmers, matts and satins. I have never tried or been tempted to try Urban Decay products before so I was really pleased with the great quality and high pigment of the product.

Recently I have been wearing 'half baked' (which isn't as orange as it looks in these photos) all over the eyelid and using 'buck' and 'naked' in the crease. It works really well for a daytime neutral look.

The palette comes with a brush and a mini primer potion which really makes the eye shadow stay on all day.

Such a good buy! Very happy with it :-)

Hope you have all had a good weekend. Don't forget, if you'd like to get updated when I post, please follow me on Bloglovin HERE

Thanks!

Silver Service: Wishbone

Wednesday, 18 May 2011

The nice people at Silver Service sent me this gorgeous necklace last week. When it arrived I opened it up and I was so happy with it. You can never tell online what these kind of things will be like, but this necklace is really great quality.

It is real silver and is a lovely weight. It came on a short chain, but recently I have added the charm to one of my long necklaces and it looks perfect!

Silver Service jewellery is sold online HERE and upstairs in Topshop, Oxford Circus. They have a beautiful collection of bracelets, necklaces, rings, and charms. The price ranges are from about £15 - £520 and the collection of symbols are traditional but very modern. If you like wings, skulls, anchors etc, then you will love these! Celebrities like Fearne Cotton and Cheryl Cole have been spotted wearing Silver Service jewellery, so if it's good enough for them...  :-)

I know I will be buying these as presents from now on - they are so perfect!

I think this necklace will look perfect with a loose silk shirt and skinny jeans. Effortlessly chic.

I can't wait to wear it more... I haven't taken it off since I got it!

Thank you Silver Service!

Spontaneous Brighton

Tuesday, 10 May 2011

Hello! I am back in England after a lovely weekend trip to the South of France. It was a really nice weekend and once I sort out all my photos I will share all the details on here.

But before then, here are some photos from our trip to Brighton last weekend. We woke up Saturday morning with the urge to do something we don't usually do. So me, my boyfriend, my sister and my brother-in-law jumped on a train to Brighton.

It started with lunch at Dermot O'Leary's Fishy Fishy restaurant and Pimms on the beach. It ended with a lot of drinks and a Thai meal at Street Thai. We got on the last train back to London - and that was it, a quick but very fun day in Brighton!

I have a ridiculous schedule for the next month, which includes 2 weddings, 1 birthday and 1 hen night. And of course, typical, I have loads of things to blog about - so I will try my best to make time!

A bientot!

Thursday, 5 May 2011

So I am off to the south of France tomorrow morning. My family and I are going to stay in our flat, which I have been lucky enough to be able to visit my whole life. We may be selling it soon, so it could be the last time I go and I have so many great memories there (like my first Eater egg hunt), it is sad to think of someone else staying there.

I find it impossible to pack for weekend trips, especially when the weather is unpredictable. I would love to pretend this is all I am packing, it looks so neat and nice, but I haven't even done toiletries yet and that's the bulky bit! That strange looking wire thing is a headphone splitter. My boyfriend now has an iPad so we can watch a film on the plane, yay!

I'll try and get some good photos to share on here, although I'll probably just take obscene amount of photos of my nephew, he's too cute!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Day Makeup

Sunday, 1 May 2011

So I woke up early on Friday to watch the wedding and got a bit bored waiting for it all to begin, so I decided to film a little video. I'm not a make-up artist and I don't think anyone is really interested in what I have to say about makeup, so instead of rambling on I just filmed a basic makeup routine.

Some people may say, wow you wear loads of makeup, but although this looks that way, it's not really the case. All the makeup I buy is very lightweight and I always try to do a natural look. I try to concentrate on moisturizers and primers etc so that my skin looks good and my makeup lasts all day.

Anyway... have a look for yourself. I quite like doing these, let me know if it's something you are interested in seeing more of.

I hope you are all having a great weekend! I went for a spontaneous day trip to Brighton yesterday which was really fun but I am so exhausted now! I'm off to carry on with my lazy Sunday!

Bye!
